16th September 2023 Hiking - Walking: Newbourne Springs Wind Direction: Wind Stength: Surf / Sea State: Air Temperature: Sea Temperature: Weather: Sunny and hot :) Max Speed: Distance Covered: Saturday 16th September – walk ***** – Newbourne Springs - sunny and hot. Maggies 63rd Birthday, we were up early for some reason, I managed to post over a 100 pics on facebook as Mags Birthday card and then Arlo the Grandson who is visiting for the weekend, with his mum and da of course got up really! A 6 he has grown so tall and is great fun to be with and we get on like a house on fire, pancakes for breakfast including fun with some squirty cream, Arlo helps Mag make her birthday cake while I pack a picnic and after Rob and Hannah return from visiting a book shop we drive over to Newbourne Springs for a walk in the woods which are as lovely as ever. We enjoy our picnic in the heath area after looking under several snake boards, no addres just a couple of mice! Then down to the woods to play in the cystal clear stream going to see the spring bubble up, just amazing! Then home knackers but Rob and Hannah still have enough energy to walk down to near the pier for a swim. Then Dan and Hannah with the lovely Maeva arrive for a lovely family get together including a nice meal, with Arlo and Maeva having a shoot off, so funny:) What a great day, sunny and hot too!
